Noida Man Arrested for Mumbai Bomb Threat Ahead of Ganesh Visarjan

Mumbai Police arrested Ashwin Kumar Supra, a 50-year-old astrologer from Noida, for sending a hoax bomb threat ahead of Ganesh Visarjan. He claimed 34 vehicles across Mumbai were rigged with “human bombs” and 400 kg of RDX planted by 14 Pakistani terrorists.

The threat, sent via WhatsApp, triggered a massive security response with over 21,000 police deployed. Investigators discovered Supra impersonated a former friend to frame him over a past legal dispute.

Police seized multiple phones and SIM cards from his home. Supra is being transferred to Mumbai for further questioning. A case has been registered under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
